Mounting a scratching post on a dresser turned out to be quite an adventure. It all started with an idea to repurpose a long-forgotten dresser, which had been serving as a dust collector for a long time. I decided that instead of getting rid of the old piece of furniture, I would find a new use for it. The plan was born when I noticed that my cats love scratching my couch. I decided to mount a scratching post on the dresser.

The first step in this process was finding a suitable scratching post. It had to be big enough for the cat to use comfortably, yet small enough not to overwhelm the dresser. I searched through many stores and online portals before I came across the perfect one - made of high-quality natural sisal, which is both durable and safe for cats’ claws.

I ordered the scratching post online and waited for its delivery. When the scratching post finally arrived, my adventure began. Measurement, drilling, screwing - it all turned out to be quite a challenge. But step by step, with the help of instructions and some DIY knowledge, I started transforming my old dresser into a new play area for my cat.

After a few hours of work, the installation of the scratching post was complete. The first result of my efforts was a sense of satisfaction with a job well done. The second, and much more important, result was the happiness of my cat, who instantly took a liking to the new play area. My dresser is no longer a boring piece of furniture; it is now a functional item that serves both humans and animals. Watching my happy cat, I come to the conclusion that this adventure of mounting a scratching post on a dresser was truly worth it.
