During my travels and frequent visits to London, English breakfast has always been one of the moments I impatiently awaited. Finally, I decided to recreate the characteristic morning meal of the British Isles in my own kitchen. My cooking adventure began with white sausages, baked beans, toast, eggs, and bacon. Of course, tomatoes and mushrooms had to be included as well! It might seem like a simple task, but right from the start, I encountered a shocking discovery.
I must admit, I was surprised by the amount of time and, as it turned out, precision required to measure the ingredients and set the oven temperature perfectly. Each ingredient required a different preparation and cooking time. So, it was a race against time and growing stress to not burn anything and to serve everything “hot”.
My cooking adventure with English breakfast turned out to be not only a learning experience and discovering new techniques but also a fun endeavor that provided me with lots of laughter. Eventually, I managed to cook this popular dish, and despite a few minor mishaps, it was one of the most satisfying moments of my culinary career. No England fries like I fried that day!
