MINIDISC - A WAY TO ACHIEVE EXCELLENT DEVOPS PERFORMANCE?
A year ago, I came up with an idea of how to use the old school technology of MiniDisc in my DevOps work. It turned out to be a great success as it helped me increase the efficiency and effectiveness of my team.
MiniDisc and DevOps
MiniDisc is an outdated technology, but in 1992, it was a non-commercial revolution. Today, no one uses such devices anymore, but I do use them in my DevOps work. MiniDisc allows me to quickly archive data and transfer it between different computers. This is very useful, especially when working remotely.
Cats and MiniDisc
You may ask what cats have to do with MiniDisc. Well, my cats are increasingly trying to peek into my laptop and disturb me while I work. Thanks to MiniDisc, I can cope with them - I record their favorite cat music on MiniDisc, and they happily listen to it. This helps me focus on work and at the same time take care of my furry friends.
Formula 1 and MiniDisc
Although MiniDisc seems very far from the world of sports, it has even helped me in this area. As a Formula 1 fan, I often travel to different countries to watch live races. Thanks to MiniDisc, I can record important race segments and send them to my DevOps colleagues who always ask for them. This enables them to quickly see what new technologies or solutions were used during a specific round.
Summary
As you can see, MiniDisc is becoming increasingly rare, but in my case, it has proved to be extremely useful in DevOps work. It allows me to transfer data, record cat music, and share information with the team. This is a mysterious connection, but it works!
